Training

Courses cover a range of areas with particular emphasis on meeting the needs of children and young people with complex presentations of autism, emotional wellbeing needs and preparation for adulthood. Training can be developed in partnership with services to provide bespoke courses. 

Training courses frequently offered include: -

• Towards an understanding the Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile

• Education and support needs of PDAers and their families

• Meeting the needs of autistic pupils: developing good practice in education settings

• Understanding and supporting the emotional wellbeing needs of autistic pupils.

• Developing a bespoke curriculum and tracking progress for autistic pupils.

In addition we can provide bespoke training events for education settings, psychology services and multi-disciplinary teams.
